1. Background and significance of the standard

The surface waviness of the substrate glass of flat panel displays is an important factor affecting the display quality. This standard GB/T32643-2016 specifies the measurement method using a stylus surface roughness meter, which is applicable to the surface waviness measurement of substrate glass for flat panel displays.
