Introduction

GB/T 32644-2016 Standard Overview

This standard specifies the test methods for the chemical durability of flat panel display substrate glass, mainly involving the weight loss method and the haze method. The weight loss method evaluates the durability by measuring the mass change of the sample under the action of chemical reagents; while the haze method judges by measuring the degree of blur on the surface of the sample.

Test Method Overview

Method Name Definition Applications Advantages
Weight Loss Method Immerse the sample in chemical reagents and calculate the durability by comparing the weight change of the sample before and after etching. Applicable to quickly evaluate the chemical stability of substrate glass. Quantitative results are intuitive
Haze method Measures the degree of surface blur after the sample is etched by chemical reagents. Applicable to evaluating the changes in optical properties of glass surfaces. Easy to operate and intuitive results

Explanation of professional terms and practical application cases

Weight loss method: Calculate the mass loss per unit area by weighing the mass change of the sample before and after the action of chemical reagents. The formula is: WA = (W2 - W1) / A Haze method: Use a haze meter (in accordance with GB/T 2410 standard) to measure the total transmittance Tt and diffuse transmittance Td. The haze value calculation formula is: H = (Tt / Td) × 100%
