1. Standard Overview

GBT 32975-2016 "Technical Specification for Energy Saving in Dry Quenching of Coke" is the first standardized guidance document for dry quenching in my country, aiming to improve the energy efficiency and reduce pollutant emissions in the coke production process. This standard applies to the design, construction, operation and maintenance of dry quenching equipment for top-loading coke ovens or ramming coke ovens.

3. Technological innovation and industry impact

Compared with traditional wet quenching, the CDQ process has the following significant advantages: 100% full dry quenching, which greatly reduces water consumption; heat recovery through inert circulating gas, improves steam utilization and reduces energy consumption. This technology is widely used in the steel industry and has become an important development direction for green coking.

4. Implementation suggestions

  • Project planning:New CDQ projects must include a special chapter on energy-saving design and ensure that the scale of the device matches the production capacity of the coke oven.
  • Equipment selection:High-temperature and high-pressure natural circulation CDQ boilers are preferred to improve steam production efficiency; variable frequency speed control systems are recommended for circulating fans.
  • Operation optimization:Strictly control the storage time of red coke (≤30 minutes), optimize the air volume adjustment strategy, and ensure that the gas flow rate meets the standard requirements.
