Determination of magnetic impurities in anode nanomaterials for Li-ion battery
1 Scope
This standard specifies the principle, determination environment conditions, reagents and instruments, test procedures, result analysis and calculation, and test report for determination of magnetic materials in anode nanomaterials for Li-ion battery by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES).
This standard is applicable to the determination of magnetic materials (the total content of iron, cobalt, chromium, nickel and zinc) with content (mass fraction) of 0.02×10-6~20×10-6.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following term and definition apply.
3.1
magnetic materials
general term for metal substances adsorbed by a magnetic rod under the operating conditions specified in this standard
Note: The particles adsorbed by a magnetic rod from anode nanomaterials for Li-ion battery generally contain elementary substances or compounds of five elements, i.e., iron, cobalt, chromium, nickel and zinc.
4 Determination principle
The sample is dispersed in ethanol, and a magnetic rod with certain magnetic field intensity is used to roll and adsorb the sample for a certain time, then the adsorbed magnetic particles are heated in acid solution to dissolve out. The contents of iron, cobalt, chromium, nickel and zinc are determined by an inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer, and the total content of these five elements is calculated.
