Introduction

Interpretation of GB/T 33932-2017 National Standard of the People's Republic of China

1. Background and significance of the standard

GB/T 33932-2017 "Safety Requirements for Forklifts in Natural Stone Mining" aims to standardize the safe design, manufacture and use of forklifts used in the natural stone mining process, and ensure the safety of operations in complex environments such as mines, stone yards and docks. The standard was jointly drafted by Fujian Weisheng Machinery Development Co., Ltd., Fujian Special Equipment Inspection Institute and Luoyang Mining Machinery Engineering Design Institute Co., Ltd., reflecting the industry's response to the need to improve the safety of mechanical equipment.

2. Scope of application of the standard

This standard applies to forklifts with a rated load between 10,000kg and 45,000kg, mainly used for forking, transporting and stacking block objects such as stone. For equipment exceeding 45,000kg, it can be implemented as a reference.

Risk analysis

Category Specific hazards Countermeasures
Mechanical hazards Risks of squeezing, shearing, cutting or severing Install protective devices to ensure the safety of the operating area
Electrical hazards Risks of direct and indirect contact with live parts Insulation protection and grounding measures
Thermal hazards Risks of fire, explosion and contact with high-temperature materials Use flame retardant materials and configure fire extinguishing equipment

Safety requirements and protective measures

5.1 General requirements

Risk assessment: The manufacturer shall conduct a risk assessment based on the risk factors in Table 1 to ensure that each hazard is effectively controlled.

5.2 Driver's cab safety

Escape exit: Basic entrances and exits and backup exits must be provided and ensure that they are easily accessible. It is recommended to configure an escape hammer in case of emergency.

Implementation recommendations

  1. Training and education: Ensure that operators receive professional training and are familiar with the equipment's safe operating procedures and emergency response measures.
  2. Daily maintenance: Regularly check protective devices, hydraulic systems and electrical components to prevent safety hazards caused by wear or aging.
  3. Environmental adaptability: Choose appropriate equipment configuration according to the operating environment, such as special devices for high temperature protection, dust protection, etc.
