Scope
This document specifies the classification, grade designation, ordering details, manufacturing process, technical requirements, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certification for hot-rolled steel sections with improved weldability. It also describes the corresponding test methods. This document applies to hot-rolled H-shaped steel sections with improved weldability (hereinafter referred to as "H-shaped steel") produced using the quenching and tempering (QST) process. Other hot-rolled steel sections may also be used as a reference.
