《GB/T 3464.2-2003细长柄机用丝锥》由TC91（全国刀具标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国机械工业联合会。
本部分等同采用ISO2283：2000《公称直径为M3至M24及1/8in至1in的长柄机用丝锥细柄丝锥》。
Scope
This Part specifies the type and size of taps with a nominal diameter of M3 to M24 and 1/8in to 1in with a thin shank. This section applies to machine taps with slender shanks. The technical conditions of the taps involved in this part (including signs) are in accordance with the provisions of ISO 8830. This standard applies to taps for producing the following threads: a) ISO metric threads — coarse; — fine. B) ISO British thread - "unified coarse thread" series (UNC) and "unified fine thread" series (UNF). The following imperial threads are not recommended - "British Standard Whitworth" (BSW) and "British Standard Fine Thread" (BSF); - "British Association Thread" (BA). Given in Appendix A.
