Introduction

Analysis of the core content of the standard

This standard specifies 7 types of ratios (R407A-G) of the R407 series mixed refrigerants composed of three components: R32, R125 and R134a. The nominal ratio is allowed to fluctuate within the range of ±2%~±5%. Key technical indicator requirements:

  • Purity ≥ 99.8% (superior product)
  • Moisture content ≤ 0.001%
  • Acidity (as HCl) ≤ 0.0001%

Comparative analysis of ratio types

Model R32 ratio (%) R125 ratio (%) R134a ratio (%) Typical applications
R407C 23±2 25±2 52±2 Main models of commercial air conditioners
R407A 20±2 40±2 40±2 Low-temperature refrigeration system
R407G 2.5±0.5 2.5±0.5 95±1 Special temperature zone equipment

Key points of detection technology

Gas chromatography analysis specifications

A GS-GASPRO chromatographic column (60m×0.32mm) was used, the linear velocity of hydrogen carrier gas was 40cm/s, and the temperature was programmed from 80℃(6min)→180℃(2min). Special attention should be paid to:

  1. When determining the relative correction factor, the correction factor of R134a to R32 is calculated as follows:
    fR134a = (mR134a×AR32)/(mR32×AR134a)
  2. Sampling requires the use of 2-5L aluminum-plastic composite film air bags, and rubber materials should be avoided

Moisture detection arbitration method

Karl Fischer coulometric method is the arbitration method for moisture content determination, with a detection limit of 0.0001%

Safety Implementation Guide

Packaging and Transportation Specifications

  • Special cylinder painting requirements: aluminum white for repeated use and orange for disposable use
  • The filling coefficient is very different: R407G is 1.01kg/L, while R407B is only 0.87kg/L

First aid measures

When frostbite occurs due to contact with liquid, the affected area should be immediately soaked in 41-46℃ warm water. Dry heat or friction is prohibited

Technology evolution background

This standard replaces the original industry specification. The main improvements include: ① Adding new models of R407E/F/G; ② Using the REFROP 9.1 database to update the saturated vapor pressure data; ③ Clarifying the 100℃ constant temperature condition for non-condensable gas detection.
