Interpretation of the core content of the standard

This standard defines the common terminology system of workpiece geometric elements and establishes a complete concept chain from nominal surface models to actual inspection elements. The main technical breakthroughs include:

1. Surface model system

The standard establishes a five-layer surface model architecture: nominal surface modelSkin surface modelDiscrete surface modelSampling surface model→Actual surface. Among them:

  • Nominal model: Ideal geometry defined by design (continuous infinite points)
  • Skin surface model: Virtual representation of physical interface
  • Discrete model: Finite point set + interpolation algorithm

2. New definition of dimensional elements
