Introduction
Interpretation of the core content of the standard
This standard defines the common terminology system of workpiece geometric elements and establishes a complete concept chain from nominal surface models to actual inspection elements. The main technical breakthroughs include:
| Element type | Defining features | Application scenarios |
|---|---|---|
| Component elements | Actual surface or model part | Contact function analysis |
| Derived elements | Generated through center/offset operations | Benchmark establishment |
| Fitting elements | Ideal elements that meet constraints | Assembly simulation |
Analysis of key technologies
1. Surface model system
The standard establishes a five-layer surface model architecture: nominal surface model → Skin surface model→Discrete surface model→Sampling surface model→Actual surface. Among them:
- Nominal model: Ideal geometry defined by design (continuous infinite points)
- Skin surface model: Virtual representation of physical interface
- Discrete model: Finite point set + interpolation algorithm
2. New definition of dimensional elements
For the first time, the requirements of single parameter family and monotonic inhibition are clarified:
Example: When a ring is used as a dimensional element, the condition is met only when the cross-sectional diameter is changed with a fixed median diameter; if the cross-sectional diameter is changed with a fixed median diameter, the definition is not met.
Implementation Suggestions
Industrial Applications
- CAD systems need to support automatic generation of skeleton elements
- Measuring instruments should distinguish between algorithm differences between standard elements and inspection elements
Software Development
It is recommended to use object-oriented design to implement feature class inheritance relationships:
GeometricFeature ├─IdealFeature │ ├─SizeFeature │ └─SituationFeature └─NonIdealFeature ├─FilteredFeature └─RealFeature
