Scope

This standard specifies the third test in the five series of color fastness to washing tests, which has been designated as a test method for the study of color fastness to washing of colored textiles. The range of washing operations from mild to vigorous was covered in this series of tests. Note: This method is only formulated to determine the effect of washing on the color fastness of textiles, and does not reflect the results of comprehensive laundering operations.
