Introduction
Analysis of the core content of the standard
This standard applies to the classification and naming of recycled mixtures of polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE), and explicitly excludes dangerous goods packaging materials and special types of polymers (such as PE-UHMW).

Test conditions: 230℃/2.16kg, code range from 010 (<1g/10min) to 300 (≥30g/10min)
Density determination
Adopting ISO 1183 method, code 91-97 corresponds to density range 0.90-0.96g/cm³, accuracy requirement retains two decimal places
Standard Implementation Recommendations
- The sources of flexible/rigid packaging must be strictly distinguished during the pre-processing stage of recycled materials
- It is recommended to conduct three parallel tests to obtain the average value for the MFR test
- The melt extrusion spline method is preferred for density determination
- The FTIR or DSC method is recommended for mixing ratio detection
Technology evolution analysis
This standard is equivalent to ISO 18263-1:2015, and for the first time established the Chinese version of the PP/PE recycled material classification system, solving the previous naming confusion in the recycled plastics industry. Compared with the 2008 version of the recycled plastics standard, the following are added:
- Accurate classification based on component ratio
- Quantitative code for melt flow properties
- Standardized description of color/morphology
