Introduction
Interpretation of the core content of the standard
This standard applies to semi-finished products of PTFE containing ≤1% comonomer, including new materials, recycled resins and products containing ≤1.5% colorants. According to the tensile properties, it is divided into 4 grades (Grade 1 is the highest), and subdivided into three categories: processing type (P), dimensionally stable type (S) and electrical type (E).

Electrical Strength Grading System
Electrical (E-type) products are divided into 8 levels (E1-E8) according to dielectric strength. Take skimmed film as an example:
- E1 level: ≥100kV/mm (high-end electrical insulation)
- E4 level: 40-60kV/mm (conventional industrial applications)
- E8 level: <10kV/mm (non-critical scenarios)
During the test, the >1mm sample needs to be processed to a thickness of (1±0.1)mm.
Detailed explanation of the naming rules
Use 5-segment coding: shape code + tolerance code + type code + grade + special requirements. For example:
FbS1E7 means: skived plate (b tolerance) / dimensionally stable type (S) / mechanical properties level 1 / electrical strength level E7
Recycled resin should be marked with the suffix REC, such as MbP3REC.
Implementation suggestions
- E1-E3 grade products are preferred for electrical applications
- High ductility materials of level 1-2 are recommended for dynamic sealing scenarios
- Pay special attention to the density range of recycled resin products (2.14-2.23g/cm³)
- Key size parts should choose S type to ensure <0.5% dimensional change rate
