Introduction

1. Background and significance of standard formulation

With the development of my country's logistics industry, the demand for road transportation of steel coils is growing. In order to ensure the safety and standardization of transportation, GB/T42230-2022 "Requirements for bundling and fixing of steel coils for road transportation" came into being. This standard mainly targets steel coils with a single coil weight not exceeding 35,000kg and a rolling width of not less than 600mm, and clarifies the technical requirements and operating specifications of the bundling and fixing device.

2. Technical requirements for lashing fixtures

3. Binding and fixing requirements and implementation suggestions

Placement selection:

  • Vertical placement: Applicable to steel coils with a width to diameter ratio of ≤0.7, and the hole axis is perpendicular to the loading plane.
  • Horizontal transverse placement: Applicable to steel coils with a width to diameter ratio of >0.7 and less than the vehicle width.
  • Horizontal longitudinal placement: Applicable to steel coils with a width to diameter ratio of >0.7 and greater than or equal to the vehicle width.

Calculation of lashing capacity:

Formula 1: LC1 = 1.5 × m × g / n
Where:
- LC1: lashing capacity of a single lashing device (N)
- m: total mass of the steel coil (kg)
- g: acceleration of gravity (m/s²)
- n: number of lashing devices

Implementation recommendations:

  • Regularly check the integrity and reliability of the lashing fixtures.
  • Rationally select the number and type of lashing devices based on the mass of the steel coil and the carrying capacity of the transport vehicle.
  • Arrange the lashing points strictly in accordance with the spacing specified in the standard to ensure that the cargo is evenly distributed.
