Key technical innovations
1. Low temperature adaptability of materials: The standard requires that the pressure shell be made of titanium alloy (F-5/F-6) or austenitic stainless steel (022Cr17Ni12Mo2), and the impact absorption energy at -253℃ should be ≥49J. Actual application cases show that the GH4169 alloy shaft parts that have been cryogenically treated can avoid low temperature brittle cracking.
2. Special structural design: The inducer-impeller system adopts an axial compression and anti-loosening design, and the thread rotation direction is opposite to the pump rotation direction. A certain type of liquid hydrogen pump reduces the cavitation margin by 30% through composite blade design.
Recommendations for the implementation of the standard
- Manufacturing stage: Strictly follow the material grade selection in Appendix C, and the welding process shall be evaluated according to NB/T47014
- Test verification: It is recommended to conduct liquid nitrogen (-196℃) and liquid hydrogen (-253℃) performance tests in steps, referring to the conversion formula in Appendix D
- Safety protection: A hydrogen concentration alarm system (in compliance with GB/T29729) and IP65 protection grade electrical equipment must be configured
Technology evolution analysis
Compared with the 2019 version of the centrifugal pump standard for the petroleum industry, this specification adds:
- Pre-cooling and blowing process flow unique to liquid hydrogen medium (4.1.8)
- Low-temperature clearance control requirements for wear-resistant rings (60%-100% of the standard value)
- Liquid hydrogen temperature-pressure correspondence table (Appendix E) and other hydrogen energy-specific content
