Scope

This standard specifies the measurement method for the noise of positive displacement compressors. The text of this standard mainly specifies the engineering method for measuring noise sound power level. Appendix A gives a simple method for measuring noise sound power level, and Appendix B gives a method for measuring noise sound pressure level. This standard applies to volumetric compressor units including the driving machine (hereinafter referred to as compressor units).
