Scope

This part of GB/T 5169 provides general principles on how to reduce potential impacts and fire risks involving electrical and electronic products to acceptable levels, and serves as an indicative standard for other guiding publications of GB/T 5169. This part describes the relationship between the fire risk and the potential impact of fire, and provides guidance for product standards committees on the applicability of qualitative and quantitative fire tests in the fire hazard assessment of electrical and electronic products.
