Scope

This standard includes two methods for determining the average fiber diameter of mineral wool and its products. The microscope method is suitable for mineral wool and its products above 4 μm. The air flow meter method is suitable for rock wool, slag wool and their products with a thickness of 4.0-7.6 μm. During acceptance, if there is any dispute, the microscope method shall be used as the arbitration method.
