Scope

This standard specifies the counting sequential sampling inspection plan and procedures for discrete individual products. This standard uses the risk points of the producer and the risk points of the user to search for the scheme. These schemes are suitable not only for acceptance sampling purposes, but also for statistical testing of simple assumptions about proportions. The purpose of this standard is to provide a sequential assessment procedure for inspection results, the use of which can be used to exert economic and psychological pressure on the producer to supply quality lots with a high probability of acceptance by rejecting poor quality lots. At the same time, an upper limit is set for the acceptance probability of bad batches to protect the consumers. The sampling plan provided in this standard can be used for (but not limited to) the following inspections: - final product; - components and raw materials; - operation; - work in process; - inventory; - maintenance operation; - — data or records; — management procedures. The sampling plan of this standard is suitable for counting inspection of discrete individuals. It is used when the rate of unqualified products (or the percentage of unqualified products) or the number of unqualified products per unit (or the number of unqualified products per hundred units) is used as the batch quality index. Sampling inspection plans are based on the assumption that the occurrence of nonconformities is random and statistically independent. Where there are definite reasons to suspect that a nonconformity of a product is due to conditions that may lead to other nonconformities at the same time, it is best to consider only whether the product is conforming or nonconforming and not to consider multiple nonconformities. The sampling plan of this standard should be used primarily for the analysis of samples taken from the process. For example, these sampling plans may be used for acceptance sampling of product lots under statistically controlled processes. It can also be used for isolated batches with large batches and a small proportion of non-conforming batches (significantly less than 10%). For the acceptance sampling of continuous serial batches, the batch-by-batch sequential sampling plan system for retrieval by acceptance quality limit (AQL) in GB/T 2828.5 should be used.
