Scope

This standard specifies the characteristics and test methods of thermal sprayed zinc, aluminum and their alloy coatings for corrosion protection. This standard applies to the application of thermal spraying zinc, aluminum and their alloy coatings on the surface of aluminum and iron for corrosion protection. This standard does not apply to the repair of damaged surfaces. It is also not applicable to other metal coatings other than thermal spraying zinc, aluminum and their alloys, but some of the provisions are also valid for other metal coatings, and can also be adopted if both parties agree through negotiation.
