Introduction
Standard Overview and Technical Background
LS/T 3118-2019 is my country's first grain industry standard for Acer truncatum seeds. It was jointly drafted by the Xi'an COFCO Engineering Research and Design Institute and other institutions. This standard fills a gap in the standardization of plant oils in the Acer truncatum family and provides a technical basis for the industrial development of Acer truncatum seed oil.

Analysis of Key Inspection Methods
Oil Content Determination
The Soxhlet extraction method according to GB/T 14488.1 is used. Note: The sample must be crushed until 95% passes through a 2mm sieve. The extraction time must be no less than 8 hours. The tolerance for replicate determinations must be ≤0.5%.
Impurity Inspection Key Points
Three types of impurities are separated using the hand sieving method specified in GB/T 5494: inorganic impurities (such as sediment), organic impurities (such as stems and leaves), and sieve undersize (particles with a diameter less than 1.5mm).
Special requirements for packaging, storage and transportation
- Insect prevention: Phosphine fumigation is recommended, with a concentration ≥200ppm·h
- Humidity control: The relative humidity in the warehouse should be maintained below 65%
- Transport protection: Transport vehicles must be equipped with rainproof tarpaulins and moisture-proof cushions

Key points for enterprises to pay attention to when applying: Graded procurement based on origin (the oil content of different production areas varies by up to 5%), Storage cycle control (it is recommended not to exceed 18 months), and Inspection frequency (the oil content of each batch must be tested).
