Introduction

Standard Overview

MH/T 4043-2015 specifies the technical requirements for X-band surface surveillance radar, which is applicable to the design, development and inspection of surface mobile target monitoring equipment for civil airports. The standard covers the operating frequency band of 9.0-9.5GHz, and specifies core indicators such as detection distance ≥4300m and azimuth accuracy of 0.15°.

System Architecture Requirements

4.1 Equipment Composition

The standard requires that the radar system must include:

  • Antenna system (polarization mode: linear polarization/circular polarization)
  • Transmitter system (pulse width 40±4ns)
  • Signal processing system with ASTERIX CAT240 output

4.4 Antenna system special

The antenna must meet the following requirements:

  • Horizontal lobe width ≤ 0.45°
  • Gain ≥ 34dBi
  • Dual encoder accuracy ≥ 13 bits


Environmental adaptability

Outdoor equipment must withstand the following requirements:

  • Temperature range: -40℃~+55℃
  • Wind resistance: 41m/s (3s gust) during operation
  • Anti-salt spray corrosion design

Equipment selection

Give priority to models that use pulse compression technology to ensure that the main-sidelobe ratio is ≥40dB

Operation and maintenance management

It is recommended to establish:

  1. Daily check the transmit power fluctuation (pulse radar ≤±0.3dB)
  2. Monthly calibrate the azimuth encoder
  3. Quarterly test the distance accuracy (95% confidence level ≤7.5m)
