Scope

This standard specifies a quantitative determination method for measuring the ease of phase separation of fuel oil dis olved in toluene after adding n-heptane using optical scanning equipment in the field or in the laboratory, that is the separability value. This standard applies to heavy fuel oil containing asphaltene.
