1. Measurement performance

The standard stipulates that the laser ceilometer must meet the following requirements:

  • Cloud high resolution ≤10m (the actual measurement verification requires the use of three-level targets of 50m±10m, 500m±50m, and 3000m±300m)
  • Fixed target ranging error ±10m
  • Laser repetition frequency ≥2.5kHz

2. Environmental adaptability

The application case of a meteorological station in Inner Mongolia shows that the equipment needs to withstand:

  • Continuous operation at -40℃ low temperature in winter
  • Salt spray corrosion during summer sandstorms
  • Vibration shock under typhoon weather (5m/s² acceleration)
