This standard specifies the determination of the precipitation number of lubricating oils.
This standard is applicable to lubricating oils.

3 Method Summary

At room temperature, take 10 mL of test specimen and dilute it until 100 mL with precipitation petroleum ether. After homogeneous mixing, rotate the centrifuge tube for 10 min under a relative centrifugal force between 600 ~ 700. And the millilitres of precipitate formed at the bottom of the centrifuge tube shall be regarded as the precipitation number of test specimen.
