Scope

This standard specifies the total migration amount of food contact materials-polymer materials or products in fatty food simulant 14C labeled synthetic triglyceride mixtures under temperature conditions of greater than 20°C and not higher than 121°C within a selected period of time. The four determination methods include total immersion method, test pool method, bagging method, and product filling method. This standard applies to food contact materials - polymer materials or sheets, and also applies to most containers or products that can be cut into appropriate size test pieces or can be filled. This standard can be applied to various types of food contact materials - polymer materials.
