Key Technological Innovations

The standard specifies for the first time the mandatory requirement for GPS positioning devices in the deployment of monitoring points, stipulating a coordinate error of ≤5 meters. A dual coding system (time coding + geocoding) is introduced in the specimen processing process to achieve full traceability.


Implementation Recommendations

Port Quarantine Application Case

A port adopted the layered trapping network in Clause 5.4 of the standard. Traps were laid out in a 15m×15m grid in the container storage area. Temperature and humidity recorders were used for 24-hour environmental monitoring, resulting in a 37% increase in the number of pest species intercepted annually.
