Analysis of the core content of the standard

This standard adopts liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry to determine 4 kinds of alkylphenols in food simulants. The technical points include:

Key points for standard implementation

Differences in sample pretreatment

Different treatments are used for different food simulants:

  1. Water-based/acidic/alcoholic: directly pass through a 0.22μm filter membrane
  2. Isooctane: needs to be concentrated by nitrogen blowing and then fixed to volume with methanol

Standard product management requirements

  • Stock solution (stored at -5℃, valid for 12 months)
  • Intermediate solution (stored at 0-5℃, valid for 6 months)
  • Working solution (stored at 0-5℃, valid for 3 months)

Method validation data

Precision requirement: The difference between repeated determination results is ≤20%, mainly based on:

  • Validation test of 6 food simulants
  • 0.001-0.20mg/L linear range validation
  • Simultaneous detection capability validation of 4 compounds

Recommendations for application of standards

  1. For CAS 84852-15-3 nonylphenol, it should be reported together with 104-40-5
  2. Isooctane simulants require special attention to the recovery control of the concentration step
  3. It is recommended to add matrix matching standards to each batch of testing
