This standard specifies the requirements for oil and gas pipeline measurement and control instruments, valve actuators, typical equipment control systems, auxiliary equipment, monitoring and data acquisition systems, safety instrument systems and operation management. This standard applies to the operation and technical management of oil and gas pipeline instrumentation and automation systems. This standard does not apply to the operation and technical management of instrumentation equipment in the measurement of oil and gas pipeline trade.
