Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, structural types, models, materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, markings, packaging, storage and transportation of directly buried gate valves for urban water supply and drainage (hereinafter referred to as gate valves). This standard is applicable to nominal sizes DN50~DN900, nominal pressures PN10~PN25, medium temperature not greater than 80 ℃, flange or socket connection type; ductile iron shell, directly buried underground and the burial depth is not greater than 5 m Directly buried gate valves are used for urban water supply and drainage.
