《GB/T 12766-2008动物油脂熔点测定》由326（农业农村部）归口，主管部门为农业农村部。
本标准代替ＧＢ／Ｔ１２７６６―１９９１《动物油脂　熔点测定》。本标准规定了在常温下凝固的动物油脂熔点的测定方法。本标准适用于在常温下凝固的动物油脂的熔点测定。本标准与ＧＢ／Ｔ１２７６６―１９９１相比主要变化如下：
―――在样品处理方法中，用电热源代替酒精灯；
―――在使用全浸式温度计时，增加使用辅助温度计，并进行校正步骤；
―――试验方法调整为一根毛细玻管进行观察，三组平行试验求平均值；
―――按照ＧＢ／Ｔ２００１．４―２００１《标准编写规则　第４部分：化学分析方法》对原标准的结构进行了修改。
