《GB/T 18991-2003冷热水系统用热塑性塑料管材和管件》由TC48（全国塑料制品标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国轻工业联合会。
本标准规定了用于压力下输送冷热水的塑料管材及管件组成的管道系统的性能要求。本标准适用于工作压力为０．４ＭＰａ、０．６ＭＰａ和１．０ＭＰａ的建筑物内用于输送水的塑料管道系统。

Scope

This standard specifies the performance requirements for piping systems composed of plastic pipes and fittings (or metal fittings) for conveying hot and cold water under pressure. All kinds of pipes and pipe fittings made of specified grades of plastic raw materials shall comply with the corresponding product standards and the requirements of this standard. This standard establishes a classification system for pressure conveying hot and cold water piping systems under normal use conditions, as the basis for performance evaluation and design of thermoplastic pipe and fitting systems. This standard applies to the following plastic piping systems used to transport water in buildings with working pressures of 0.4 Mpa, 0.6 Mpa and 1.0 Mpa: a) piping systems for hot and cold water, including drinking water b) piping systems for heating with hot water. This standard does not apply to fire protection systems and heating systems that do not use water as a heating medium.
