《GB/T 22708-2008绝缘子串元件的热机和机械性能试验》由TC80（全国绝缘子标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国电器工业协会。
本标准规定了标称电压高于1000V的交流和直流架空线路用的具有瓷或玻璃绝缘件的绝缘子串元件的热机和机械性能试验方法。
本标准也适用于变电站中具有类似结构的绝缘子。
Scope
This standard specifies the thermal-mechanical and mechanical test methods for insulator string elements with porcelain or glass insulation for a.c. and d.c. overhead lines with nominal voltages above 1000 V. This standard also applies to insulators of similar construction in substations.
