《GB/T 231.2-2002金属布氏硬度试验第2部分:硬度计的检验与校准》由TC122（全国试验机标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国机械工业联合会。
GB/T 231的本部分规定了GB/T 231.1的要求测定布氏硬度用的布氏硬度计的检验和校准方法。本部分规定了检查硬度计基本功能的直接检验法和适用于检查硬度计综合性能的间接检验法。如果硬度计还用于其他方法的硬度试验，则应按各自的方法对其进行检验。

Scope

This part of GB/T 231 specifies the inspection and calibration methods for the Brinell hardness tester (hereinafter referred to as the hardness tester) used to determine the Brinell hardness according to the requirements of GB/T 231.1. This part specifies the direct test method for checking the basic functions of the hardness tester and the indirect test method suitable for checking the comprehensive performance of the hardness tester. If the hardness tester is also used for hardness tests by other methods, it shall be inspected according to the respective methods. This section also applies to portable hardness testers, but the term "change of location" in the requirements of 6.1a) does not apply.
