- Curved surface detection gap ≤0.5mm
Comparison of sensitivity adjustment methods
| Method | Applicable scenarios | Gain compensation |
|---|---|---|
| Right-angle edge method | Workpiece with right-angle edge | +24dB |
| Rectangular notch method | Standard test block detection | +18dB |
| Flat-bottom hole method | New comparison test block | +6dB |
Implementation points
Precautions for curved surface detection
- Curvature radius ≥ 22.5mm
- Pay attention to 180° echo coverage during circumferential scanning
- The bottom surface of the probe needs to be ground to match the curved surface
DAC curve drawing specifications
- Take at least 3 points at different distances
- The reference point is set to 80% of the wave height
- For the determination of the single detection range, see Appendix C
Technology Evolution Analysis
The 2025 version of the standard mainly reflects three major technological advances:
- Multiple types of artificial reflectors: Add flat-bottom hole test blocks to meet the needs of defect detection of different shapes
- Improved detection accuracy: The time-base linearity requirement is increased from 1% to 0.5%
- Digital adaptation: Clarify the requirements for digital drawing of DAC curves to lay the foundation for automated detection
