Implementation points

Precautions for curved surface detection

  1. Curvature radius ≥ 22.5mm
  2. Pay attention to 180° echo coverage during circumferential scanning
  3. The bottom surface of the probe needs to be ground to match the curved surface

DAC curve drawing specifications

  • Take at least 3 points at different distances
  • The reference point is set to 80% of the wave height

Technology Evolution Analysis

The 2025 version of the standard mainly reflects three major technological advances:

  1. Multiple types of artificial reflectors: Add flat-bottom hole test blocks to meet the needs of defect detection of different shapes
  2. Improved detection accuracy: The time-base linearity requirement is increased from 1% to 0.5%
  3. Digital adaptation: Clarify the requirements for digital drawing of DAC curves to lay the foundation for automated detection
