Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for safety, inspection, maintenance and operation of all types and sizes of mobile elevating work platforms (hereinafter referred to as MEWP) used to transport personnel, tools and materials to work positions and perform work on work platforms. The MEWP is at least composed of a controllable working platform, an extension structure and a chassis. This standard applies to the safety inspection, equipment maintenance and operation of MEWP.
