Scope
This standard applies to variable capacitors, potentiometers and variable resistors used in electronic equipment. Since IEC 60390 and IEC 60620 cover a large size range and include many different capacitors and resistors for electronic equipment, the dimensions given in this standard are selected based on these two standards. This standard therefore covers the preferred dimensions for shaft ends, bushings, single-hole mounts, bushing mounts, and shaft-controlled variable capacitors, variable resistors, and potentiometers. If other dimensions are not listed in this standard, they may be selected from the above-mentioned standards.
