Introduction
Core changes in the standard revision
| Technical indicators | 2013 version | 2025 version | Description of changes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Operating temperature | Maximum 90℃ | New 105℃ grade | Adapt to higher power density fans |
| Ambient temperature | -25~60℃ | Expanded to -55~60℃ | Covering applications in extremely cold areas |
| Insulation material | EPR-90 | New EPR-105/G | Improved high temperature performance |
| Test methods | 7 items | 9 new items such as torsion/load | More stringent reliability verification |
Analysis of key performance parameters
Insulation system classification
EPR-105 mixture enables conductors to operate at 105℃ for a long time and withstand short circuits of 250℃ (5s), increasing the current carrying capacity by 16.7% compared to EPR-90.
Mechanical performance requirements
| Material type | Tensile strength (MPa) | Elongation at break (%) | Hot extension (200℃) |
|---|---|---|---|
| EPR-105 insulation | ≥6.5 | ≥200 | 175%/15% |
| TPU sheath | ≥20.0 | ≥300 | - |
Implementation suggestions
- Cold-resistant cable Pay attention to -55℃ low temperature impact test data when selecting
- 105℃ model is recommended for use with class=instrument>Metal braided shielding structure (P code)
- Offshore wind power projects should add salt spray test (Appendix G) and artificial aging test (Appendix F)
- The torsion test cycle needs to be adjusted according to the actual wind farm tower height, and it is recommended to be ≥10,000 times
Typical application comparison table
| Application scenario | Recommended model | Key features |
|---|---|---|
| Normal temperature on land | FDEH-25 | Chlorosulfonated polyethylene sheath, laid at -25℃ |
| High humidity at sea | ZC-FDEG-55 | Silicone rubber sheath + flame retardant Class C |
| Alpine Regions | FDES-55 | Thermoplastic Elastomer Sheath, -55℃ Operation |
