Introduction
Standard Overview and Technical Characteristics
GB/T 34926-2017 specifies the design, manufacturing and inspection requirements for mica tape mineral insulated corrugated copper sheathed cables with rated voltages of 0.6/1kV and below. The cable uses synthetic mica tape or burned mica tape as insulation material, and the corrugated copper sheath has both mechanical protection and grounding functions, which is particularly suitable for places with high fire risks.
Core Parameter Comparison
| Key Indicators | 450/750V Control Cable | 0.6/1kV Power Cable |
|---|---|---|
| Insulation Thickness (mm) | 0.40 (Uniform Value) | 0.45-2.20 (Single/Multi-core) |
| Copper Sheath Thickness (mm) | 0.40 (19 cores and below) | 0.40-0.70 (Based on Cross-sectional Area) |
| Bending Radius (Multiples of Outer Diameter D) | 6D-20D (divided into 4 gradients) | |
| Fire resistance | 950-1000℃/180min(BS 6387/BS 8491) | |
Technical Innovations
1. Insulation system design
Double-layer mica tape wrapping structure: general type uses double-sided synthetic mica tape (mica content ≥55%), low-smoke and halogen-free type uses burned mica tape (mica content ≥65%), and the volume resistivity remains ≥5.0×1012Ω·m at high temperature.
2. Corrugated copper sheath process
The copper strip conforms to T2M/TU2M standard in GB/T2059-2008 and needs to pass the following tests after welding and corrugation:
- Bending test: Cable with D≤20mm is bent repeatedly around a 6D radius wheel
- Flattening test: After being flattened to 90% of the original outer diameter, it still maintains airtightness
Key test requirements
| Test type | Item | Judgment standard |
|---|---|---|
| Electrical test | 4h power frequency withstand voltage | 3.5kV without breakdown |
| Insulation resistance | ≥100MΩ·km(20℃) | |
| Sheath DC resistance | ≤GB/T3956 Class 2 conductor limit | |
| Mechanical test | Air tightness | 0.25-0.35MPa air pressure without drop for 2h |
| Fire resistance test | D≤20mm according to BS6387 CWZ grade |
Application implementation suggestions
- Selection principle: WDZB-RTTYZ type low-smoke halogen-free flame retardant cable is preferred in high-risk fire areas
- Installation specifications: Ambient temperature ≥ 0℃ (non-metallic sheathed cable), bending radius ≥ 6D
- Acceptance points: Focus on checking the integrity of the copper sheath weld (X-ray flaw detection recommended)
