1. Background and significance of standard formulation
GB/T 35858—2018 "Vulcanized Rubber Salt Spray Aging Test Method" is my country's first standard for testing the aging performance of vulcanized rubber in a salt spray environment. The formulation of this standard is based on the salt spray corrosion problems faced by rubber products in practical applications, especially in the fields of marine engineering and transportation facilities.
With the rapid development of my country's rubber industry, the requirements for material aging resistance are constantly increasing. This standard fills the gap in domestic vulcanized rubber salt spray aging test methods and provides a scientific basis for the quality assessment of rubber products.
