Key technical points
1. Innovation in sucrose content determination
The international sugar scale (°Z) is used to replace the traditional sugar content °S, and the conversion coefficient is 0.99971. The standard specifies the conversion of optical rotation values under three light source wavelengths:
- Green mercury light (546nm): α=40.777°±0.001°
- Yellow sodium light (589nm): α=34.626°±0.001°
- Helium-neon laser (633nm): α=29.751°±0.001°
2. Conductivity ash detection optimization
Using 31.3g/100mL standard sugar solution concentration, temperature correction formula:
C20.0 = Ct/[1+0.026(t-20)]
Refined white sugar requires the test water conductivity to be <2μS/cm
Solutions to implementation difficulties
Case: Abnormal handling of reducing sugar determination
When the deviation of the Ofnal method determination result is >15%, it is necessary to check:
- The reaction time of iodine solution is strictly controlled within 2min±5s
- Determination of the starting time of boiling (based on the appearance of a large number of bubbles on the liquid surface)
- Use the correction table in Appendix A to compensate for the reducing effect of sucrose
Analysis of standard evolution
Main changes in the 2018 version:
- Added calibration specifications for laser sugar detector
- Revised the pH requirement for color value detection buffer solution to 7.00±0.02
- Updated the filter membrane pore size requirement for water-insoluble impurities detection (≤40μm)
