Background of standard formulation and analysis of technological evolution

GB/T 35984—2018 standard is based on the determination of different forms of carbon content (total carbon, combustible carbon and carbonate carbon) in solid materials remaining after combustion or reaction of coal and coke. This standard was drafted by the Testing Branch of China Coal Science and Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., mainly targeting solid residues of coal and coke, and is of great significance in the production and application of coal industry.

With the improvement of environmental protection requirements and the attention to energy utilization efficiency, accurate determination of the form of carbon in coal and coke plays an important guiding role in optimizing the combustion process and reducing pollutant emissions. This standard combines traditional weight method and modern instrumental analysis method, reflecting the evolution and innovation of technology.
