- Bioconcentration Factor (BCF): reflects the distribution balance of chemicals between organisms and the aquatic environment
- n-octanol-water partition coefficient (Kow): characterizes the lipophilicity characteristics of chemicals

Key judgment threshold
Classification decision tree:
- When BCF≥500, it is determined to have bioaccumulation potential
- When lgKow≥4 and no measured BCF, it is presumed to have bioaccumulation potential
- Special assessment is required for substances with molecular weight>700
Typical application case: A hydrophobic organic compound has a measured BCF=1200, which is directly determined to have aquatic environmental accumulation hazard; another substance is only measured with lgKow=4.2, and in the absence of metabolic data, it needs to be classified according to the conservative principle.

Standard development background
This part inherits the OECD test guide system and forms a supporting technical document with GB30000.28. Main updates of the 2018 version:
- Data processing principles for highly lipophilic substances (lgKow>6) are clarified
- Evaluation methods for special substances such as surfactants are added
- Weight of evidence approach is introduced to resolve data contradictions

- Preferably, flow-through fish test (GB/T 21800) is used to obtain BCF data
