Fuel specification for proton exchange membrane fuel cell vehicles - Hydrogen

1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, hydrogen purity, requirements of impurity content in hydrogen and the analytical test methods for hydrogen fuel used for proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) vehicles.

It is applicable to the quality requirements of hydrogen fuel used for PFSA proton exchange membrane fuel cell vehicles.

Note: Molecular formula of hydrogen: H2. The relative molecular mass is 2.01588 (as per 2007 international relative atomic mass).

a When the methane concentration exceeds 2μmol/mol, the total concentration of methane, nitrogen and argon shall not exceed 100mol/mol.
5 Test methods

5.1 Sampling, determination and re-inspection

5.1.1 The sampling, determination and re-inspection of hydrogen products shall be in accordance with GB/T 3634.1-2006.

5.1.2 The safety matters in sampling shall be in accordance with GB/T 3723.

5.1.3 The sampling principle and general rules of gas sample shall be in accordance with GB/T 6681.

5.1.4 The compressed gas shall be decompressed by needle valve and then sent into the inspection equipment through sampling pipe.

5.1.5 The sampling of liquid hydrogen shall be in accordance with GB/T 6680. After vaporizing, the sample is directly sent into the inspection equipment through a passivated metal connecting pipe.

5.1.6 The gas transported by pipeline shall be sampled at the sampling points, and the samples shall be sent into the inspection equipment through the sampler or sampling pipe.

5.1.7 During sampling of normal or negative pressure sample, the aspirator is used to pump the sample directly into the inspection equipment.
