Scope
This part specifies the bibliographic items and their arrangement order, bibliographic identifiers, bibliographic information sources, bibliographic texts and detailed rules for bibliographic items, etc. The description objects of this part are modern Chinese books and ancient Chinese books published after 1912 (including 1912). The descriptions of books in various minority languages can be used as a reference. This section applies to national bibliographies and library catalogs as well as catalogs of various types of collections. Other book catalogs can be used as a reference.
