《GB/T 3979-1997物体色的测量方法》由TC120（全国颜色标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为国家标准化管理委员会。
本标准规定了颜色的测量方法。在1°~4°视场的范围时，采用XYZ色度学系统的色度函数；当颜色测量大于4°视场时，采用X10Y10Z10色度学系统的色度函数。本标准适用于反射物体色和透射物体色。不适用于含荧光的物体色。

Scope

This standard specifies the measurement method of color. When the field of view ranges from 1° to 4°, the chromaticity function of the XYZ colorimetric system (CIE 1931 standard colorimetric system) is used; when the color measurement is greater than the field of view of 4° , using the chromaticity function of the X₁₀Y₁₀Z₁₀ colorimetric system (CIE 1964 supplementary standard colorimetric system). This standard is applicable to reflective object color and transmitted object color. Not suitable for object colors containing fluorescent light.
