Interpretation of the core content of the standard
This standard is equivalent to ISO 20473:2007 and is the first to systematically divide the spectral bands in the field of optics and photonics in China.

This standard clearly defines the visible light range as 380-780nm, where the UV-A upper limit is set at 380nm instead of the traditional 400nm, mainly based on:
- Material properties: Resin lenses have a natural absorption inflection point at 380nm
- Biological effects: The weighted damage coefficient of the 380-400nm band to the eye is less than 0.1
- Industry compatibility: Coordinated with the ISO 13666 standard for sunglasses
