《GB/T 4976-1985压缩机分类》由TC145（全国压缩机标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国机械工业联合会。
本标准给出了各种型式压缩机的分类及其定义。本标准适用于压缩机，即输送和压缩各种压力下气体介质的机器，但不包括通风机和真空泵。
Scope
This standard gives the classification and definition of various types of compressors. In Appendix A (Supplement), the Chinese, English, and French comparison tables of terms for certain types of compressors are listed, and they are explained with simplified diagrams. This standard applies to compressors, that is, machines for conveying and compressing gaseous media under various pressures, but excluding fans and vacuum pumps.
