GB/T 5023的本部分详细规定了额定电压300/500V及以下聚氯乙烯绝缘屏蔽和非屏蔽绝缘控制电缆的技术要求。所有电缆均应符合GB/T 5023.1规定的相应要求，并且各种型号电缆应分别符合本部分规定的特殊要求。GB/T 5023《额定电压450/750V及以下聚氯乙烯绝缘电缆》分为七个部分，本部分为GB/T 5023的第7部分。本部分代替GB 5023.7-1997《额定电压450/750V及以下聚氯乙烯绝缘电缆第7部分：二芯或多芯屏蔽和非屏蔽软电缆》。
本部分与GB 5023.7-1997相比主要变化如下：
――GB 9023-1988被GB/T 12269-1990代替；
――增加规范性附录A：编码型号表示法。

Scope

This part of GB/T 5023 specifies in detail the technical requirements for PVC insulated shielded and unshielded insulated control cables with rated voltages up to and including 300/500V. All cables shall comply with the corresponding requirements specified in GB/T 5023.1, and cables of various types shall comply with the special requirements specified in this Part.
