Scope

This standard specifies the gas chromatography method for the determination of 2-(N,N-dimethylamino)ethanol in food simulants. This standard is applicable to the determination of 2-(N,N-dimethylamino)ethanol content in three water-based food simulants: water, 3% (mass concentration) acetic acid solution, 10% (volume fraction) ethanol solution, and olive oil. . The lower limit of determination of 2-(N,N-dimethylamino)ethanol in water-based food simulants is 2.2 mg/L, and the lower limit of determination of 2-(N,N-dimethylamino)ethanol in olive oil is 2.2 mg/kg.
