Scope

This document specifies the inspection methods and basic requirements for the performance of single-frequency conventional eddy current flaw detectors and single-frequency array eddy current flaw detectors (hereinafter referred to as eddy current detectors) in automatic inspection systems. Eddy current meters can be analog, partially analog, or digital. This document is applicable to the performance and inspection of manual eddy current instruments and other types of eddy current instruments.
